The olive tree was considered so valuable that they made the Goddess, the patroness of the city.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Greece has 19 P.D.O. <span style=\"color: #000000;\">zo<\/span>nes (Protected Designation of Origin) &amp; 12 P.G.I. zones (Protected Geographical Indication)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Kolymvari P.D.O- Chania, Crete<br>This extra virgin olive oil is made using the Koroneiki &amp; Tsounati olive varieties. The climate &amp; soil conditions are ideal for the cultivation of the olives.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Kalamata P.D.O- Messinia, Peloponnese<br>This olive oil is closely linked to the history, traditions, and culture of the region of Messinia &amp; the southwestern part of the Peloponnese. This extra virgin olive oil is produced mainly from Koroneiki olives, with a maximum of 5% of Mastoeidis olives.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Kefalonia&nbsp; Ionian Islands<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">This extra-virgin olive oil is made on Kefalonia island in the Ionian Sea.
